Please read and discuss these rules and regulations for the Texas State Youth Conference with parents, counselors, and the youth at your congregation. These rules were designed for the safety and respect of everyone attending the Youth Conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If a youth violates any of the rules and regulations set by the Texas State Youth Conference, depending on the offense, the child may be sent home at the expense of parents after a detailed discussion, review, and evaluation has been completed by the Youth Conference Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 Each youth must bring a Bible<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 All youth must wear their badges at all times. (Upper left shoulder)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 All youth will be under the guidance of a counselor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 All youth (male and female) attending the conference WILL HAVE a counselor. Males MUST HAVE a male counselor and females MUST HAVE a female counselor, otherwise they will not be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 All youth are expected to be in their rooms by the designated curfew time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 Report all lost articles to the Registration table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
OFF-SITE<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 No youth will be allowed to leave the premises without written consent from his\/her counselor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 Before permission can be granted to leave the premises to visit a relative or friend, the counselor MUST HAVE the following information of the person visited:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONDUCT\/BEHAVIOR<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 DISORDERLY CONDUCT – such as fighting, profane language, playing on elevators, running up and down stairs and hallways, being disrespectful to adults, talking out of room windows, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 The use of alcoholic beverages, drugs, smoking, or any other vulgarities WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. Violators will be subject to disciplinary action from the Texas State Youth Conference committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 All participants are to respect authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 Destruction of property is prohibited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 Youth are not allowed in members of the opposite sex\u2019s rooms, unless under the supervision of a counselor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 If a youth becomes ill and unable to attend a class session, he\/she MUST report their illness to his\/her counselor. The counselor will take the necessary steps for their care and is advised to remain with the sick youth until recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ATTIRE<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 Shorts may ONLY be worn during Friday activities and Saturday \u201cfree time\u201d. The shortest length must be knee-length. Any youth violating this 3 inch rule will be escorted back to their room to change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 All clothing should be appropriate. Clothing should not have vulgar wording or graphics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
GIRLS<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 Can wear pants or skirts to all sessions. Skirts or skorts may not be more than 3 inches above the knee. Any youth violating this 3-inch rule will be escorted back to their room to change. No halters or midriff tops may be worn at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
BOYS<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 Mesh T-shirts or tank shirts must be worn with a T-shirt underneath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 Shirts must be worn at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 Extreme beards, ill-groomed facial hair and extra long braided hair are not considered in good taste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
POOL RULES<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 A counselor MUST be present at the pool site monitoring their youth at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 GIRLS \u2013 No two-piece, thong or bikini swimsuit will be worn. A one-piece bathing suit MUST be worn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 BOYS \u2013 No thong or Speedo will be worn. Swim trunks MUST be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
